Cupramontana: International folklore festival
Every year the International Folklore Festival takes place in Cupramontana. The streets are literally overwhelmed by costumes, dances and songs from folk groups from all over the world.
The international folkloric festival took place for the first time in 1996. Since then it has been repeated every year with the same intensity, thanks to the careful organization of the folkloric group Massaccio, supported by the municipality of Cupramontana.
The city becomes a meeting place, an exchange of ideas between different cultures and a colorful stage full of nuances. Different ethnic groups and different customs make Cupramontana a reference point for merging and understanding different customs and traditions.
Folk groups from all over the world take part in the international folklore festival.
People from completely different cultures find themselves in this small but cozy city to tell their history through songs, dances and costumes that are typical of the countries to which they belong.
