In the heart of the Marche region, ...

Cupramontana occupies a strategic position for those coming both from the sea and from the mountains, as it is located exactly halfway between Ancona and the Umbrian border. From the Marche side it is easily accessible along the Vallesina, in the Ancona hinterland, while from the mountain side, it is a few km from the historic Fabriano.
Whichever way you choose to get to Cupramontana, you can't help but think that the first inhabitants of this town chose a strategic position to lay the first stone. With its height of 505 meters s.l.m. and a very wide view over an area that goes from the preappennine mountains to the Adriatic Sea, Cupramontana welcomes visitors in all its might. And if, before reaching the top of the hill, you can observe the soft lines of the agricultural landscape that surrounds the town, it is easy to see that the precious fertile land has always been an essential element of Cupramontana.
